саженные стекла
At the very end of Chapter X, we have "Солнце прыгало по саженным стеклам вертящейся двери". What is the meaning of саженные here?

сажень - старорусская мера ширины, вышла из употребления после введения метрической системы. 1 сажень = 7 английских футов = 84 дюйма = 2,1336 метрам.

саженные стекла в данном случае крупные, широкие. вся дверь была стеклянной, и это для того времени было необычно, суперсовременно, привлекало внимание.

Thanks - I knew the meaning of сажень, but for some reason couldn't imagine it used as an adjective. However this makes perfect sense.

Same as метр - метровый, литр - литровый etc.

это нормальное употребление, сейчас просто сказали бы "двухметровые стёкла", и оттенок "непривычно огромные стёкла" при этом чётко считывается. а тогда сажень ещё употреблялась, и саженный было живым словом.

remember, the office of the "Hercules" was a former hotel, and an expensive one for a provincial city. So wide and high glass panels were something quite worth mentioning.

Here сажень used not only to specify the size, but to give the impression of enormousness in two dimensions: cf. "косая сажень в плечах" spoken of a male. When the impression of wideness or length is intended, you could expect adjective "аршинный".

Саженный рекрутища идет. (т.е. новобранец двухметрового роста)
